In January and February the CY Board hosted two
Town Hall Socials that were made available to the
community to give feedback and get ideas on how
we would like to see CY evolve and grow. The effort,
time, and thoughtfulness people put into attending
and giving feedback were huge and precious to the
Board as we need to make important decisions that
effect the entire community.
Below [PDF download] is a summary of what we “heard”
and some of the actions that the Board has taken
and is strongly considering in order to meet the
needs of the community better.

Trope Class:
How to Chant From the Torah
A course in Trope (Torah chanting) is now being offered
on Tuesday evenings from October 23 through December
18 (holidays excepted.) For more information, see
the Jewish Education page.
Adult Bar/ Bat Mitzvah
Reb Eli is looking into forming a
BAR/BAT MITZVAH PROGRAM FOR ADULTS.
Whether you missed the opportunity when you were
younger,
or converted as an adult, or are just plain fascinated
by
the possibility,
and if you are older than 13, by at least one decade,
then you may be interested in this program.
Weekly
Meditation Group
This ongoing meditation group is
open to anyone and is led by a Chadeish Yameinu member,
Etiel Herring. It meets every Tuesday from 7:30
to 8:30 PM at Temple Beth-El. Drop in any time
to participate. The session begins with nine
minutes of walking meditation, nine minutes of chanting,
and 36 minutes of silence.
